Matters need attention for rebar coupler connection:

1. The splice must be tightened with a torque wrench with an accuracy of ±5%, and it is

required to verify the torque wrench with a torque meter every half year. The steel bar should be straightened before being cut. The end face of the thread rolling machine should be perpendicular to the axis of the steel bar, and there should be no horseshoe shape or deflection.

2. The taper, form, and pitch of the processed steel bar thread head must be consistent with that of the coupler, and pass the test of the supporting gauge. Water solution cutting lubrication fluid should be used when processing taper thread rebar coupler.

3. When connecting the steel bar, the steel bar should be screwed into the mechanical splice on the positive axis, and then tightened with a torque wrench. When the embedded splice is used, the position, specification, and quantity of the coupler should meet the design requirements. The exposed end of the rebar coupler should have a sealing cover.
